Welcome to Gleanings Centre, the countryside venue situated on our 14 acre, award winning farm which nestles between the county town of Shrewsbury and the Welsh borders. The centre was created from a redundant barn and is situated in the heart of the South Shropshire Hills which is part of the Welsh Marches.
Over recent years Gleanings has become a well-respected and well-loved centre for individuals, groups and businesses to get-together in a friendly environment around the wood burning stove in Winter or, in fine weather, to take in the stunning views of the Stiperstones from either the decking or through the floor to ceiling windows on the southerly side of the building.
Gleanings looks out directly onto our haymeadows with their amazing number of wildflowers which has helped us to win the FWAG Award for Conservation and Farming as well as gaining the title of an official Wildlife Site. Visitors to Gleanings are invited to walk down through the dingle to the stream to see the wild orchids, bluebells and cowslips and listen to the buzzards, red kites and curlews soaring overhead.
“Just happened upon you by accident as we drove by . . . what a lovely inspirational place to happen upon.”
